It has a slightly structured drape, making it a versatile choice for a variety of fashion and home décor projects.

Hints & Tips for Working with High Velvet Fabric

🔹 Cutting & Handling: Use a rotary cutter or very sharp scissors to avoid fraying. Always cut in the same direction to maintain a uniform nap.
🔹 Sewing Tip: Use a walking foot or a roller foot on your sewing machine to prevent shifting. A longer stitch length (3-3.5mm) works best.
🔹 Pressing & Ironing: Velvet should never be pressed directly with an iron. Instead, steam lightly from the wrong side or use a velvet board to prevent crushing the pile.
🔹 Seam Finishing: Overlock or zigzag stitch the edges to prevent fraying.
🔹 Washing Care: Wash alone on a cool/cold cycle with a gentle detergent. Avoid fabric softeners or bleach. Lay flat or hang to dry—never tumble dry to preserve the pile and sheen.
