Hints & Tips for Working with Cationic Chiffon
🧵 Cutting & Handling:
- Use sharp fabric scissors or a rotary cutter for precision—chiffon is delicate and may shift when cutting.
- To prevent fraying, work on a flat, non-slip surface and use pattern weights instead of pins.
🪡 Sewing Recommendations:
- Use a fine needle (size 70/10 or 65/9) to avoid snagging the delicate weave.
- A lightweight polyester or silk thread works best for smooth stitching.
- Consider French seams or rolled hems for a clean, professional finish.
🌊 Washing & Care:
- Hand wash in cool water and avoid wringing to maintain fabric integrity.
- Hang to dry to prevent creases—avoid direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
🔥 Ironing & Storage:
- Use a cool iron or a steamer to remove wrinkles without damaging the fabric.
- Store rolled or folded with tissue paper to avoid deep creases.
Please note that if more than one piece of fabric is ordered it will come as one continuous piece as it is cut from the roll, however the rolls do have a maximum length therefore larger orders may be sent in multiple pieces.
