Swimwear Jersey Plain is a smooth, lightweight fabric with four-way stretch, making it a great choice for swimwear and activewear. Designed for comfort and ease of movement, this fabric allows flexibility while maintaining its shape.

Made from 87% polyester and 13% elastane, it dries quickly after exposure to water and is resistant to chlorine and sun exposure. Its plain, versatile design makes it suitable for a variety of swimwear styles, from bikinis and one-pieces to rash guards and cover-ups.

With a width of 160cm, this fabric offers plenty of material for larger projects and is available in a range of colours to suit any design.

Available in two lengths:
Half metre 50cm x 160cm
Metre 100cm x 160cm

Please note that if more than one piece of fabric is ordered it will come as one continuous piece as it is cut from the roll, however the rolls do have a maximum length therefore larger orders may be sent in multiple pieces.

While every care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the colours depicted in our images, please be aware that due to monitor resolution, lighting, photo processing software and other factors it is almost impossible to represent colour to 100% accuracy.

Great sports fabric, lining is meh :)
Check out my swimsuit! I used the swim fabric for the outside and lining throughout the inside. The sports fabric is great! Firm, stretchy, easy to sew on the overlocker (although curls a bit at the edges so leave a decent seam allowance). It is BRIGHT! And at first so shiny it showed EVERY single lump, bump, or wrinkle. But several wears in it has gone a bit more matte. The lining i am less impressed with. It's a very stretchy mesh, which tries to peek out from the edges of the swimsuit as it's not as firm as the sports fabric. I also made a whole in it with my thumb, pulling on the wet swimsuit after a small break from the water. The sport fabric is good value, just use that as self-lining :)
