Polyester Wadding Fire Retardant – 60” Wide Quilting & Upholstery

Product Specifications:

Thickness & Weight Guide:

(Wadding is measured by weight, not thickness—sizes are approximate)

  • 2oz (70gsm) – 6-9mm (Lightweight for delicate quilting & crafts)
  • 4oz (135gsm) – 12-16mm (General use for quilting & padding)
  • 6oz (205gsm) – 18-25mm (Thicker padding for upholstery & cushions)
  • 8oz (270gsm) – 25-32mm (Heavyweight for upholstery & insulation)

What is Polyester Wadding?

Polyester wadding, also known as Dacron®, Kodel, Fiberfill, Poly-Fil®, Hollofil®, or Poly Wrap, is a soft, insulating fabric used to add loft, warmth, and structure to various projects. Unlike cotton wadding, it does not shrink and maintains its shape even after repeated washing.

Common Uses:

Please note that if more than one piece of wadding is ordered it will come as one continuous piece as it is cut from the roll, however the rolls do have a maximum length therefore larger orders may be sent in multiple pieces.
