What is Heavy Domette Curtain Interlining?
Heavy Domette is a 100% cotton interlining fabric that has been heavily brushed to create a soft and dense texture. It is commonly used as an additional layer between curtain fabric and lining to enhance insulation, weight, and drape. This fabric is ideal for softening stiffer curtain materials, such as linen, while also improving the structure and thermal efficiency of the finished product.
Uses of Heavy Domette Fabric:
✔ Curtain Interlining – Adds weight, softness, and insulation to curtains for a luxurious drape.
✔ Thermal Insulation – Helps retain heat in winter and block out excess heat in summer.
✔ Noise Reduction – Provides sound absorption, making it great for bedrooms, home offices, or living rooms.
✔ Softens Stiff Fabrics – Ideal for pairing with linen, silk, or other stiff curtain fabrics to enhance their texture and fall.
✔ Upholstery Projects – Can be used as a padding layer for chairs, cushions, and headboards to add extra comfort and durability.
✔ Roman Blinds & Drapery – Offers extra body and structure to window treatments.
