JTL700 Woven Fusible Interfacing – 100% Cotton (112cm Wide)

  • Application: Use a steam iron, glide over each section 6 times with steam & pressure, then allow to cool

What is Woven Fusible Interfacing?

Woven fusible interfacing is a lightweight, iron-on interlining used to add structure and reinforcement to fabric without stiffness. Made from 100% cotton, this high-quality interfacing bonds to fabric when pressed with heat, enhancing durability and providing a smooth, professional finish. Unlike non-woven interfacing, woven interfacing has a fabric-like structure, ensuring it moves naturally with your fabric.

Uses & Applications:

  • Bag Making: Provides reinforcement for fabric without making it overly stiff.
  • Dressmaking: Ideal for small garment sections such as collars, cuffs, facings, and button plackets.
  • Shirts & Blouses: Adds structure to lightweight cotton and linen fabrics.
  • Dresses: Helps maintain the shape of bodices and structured designs.
  • Denim & Poplin: Enhances durability while preserving fabric flexibility.
  • Quilting & Crafting: Strengthens fabric for projects that require stability.
  • Baby Cord & Linen: Supports delicate weaves without making them rigid.

How to Use:

  1. Preparation: Cut the interfacing to match the fabric piece. Ensure the grain direction of the interfacing aligns with the fabric.
  2. Positioning: Place the adhesive side of the interfacing onto the wrong side of your fabric.
  3. Ironing: Set your steam iron to medium heat. Slowly glide the iron over the interfacing, applying firm pressure and steam for around 6 passes per section.
  4. Cooling: Allow the fabric to cool completely to ensure a strong bond before handling or sewing.
  5. Testing: Always test on a fabric scrap first to check adhesion and compatibility.
