Material too stiff for intended purpose and faded

Unfortunately the material was quite stiff and so would not have had a nice drape when made into a top or dress. I through a wash may help loosen the fabric but was very unhappy that it actually faded the black instead (only a 30 degree wash). Therefore the piece I purchased has ended up in the charity shop.

This fabric is lovely, just what I was looking for to make a light weight summer jacket… sadly not yet had time ? can’t wait to get some time to myself & begin.
Delivery as usual from this company I can’t ever fault, very fast 1/2 days . Brilliant.
