Our Leatherlook Fabric – JLL0003 John Louden offers the luxurious appearance of real leather with the comfort, flexibility and ease of use of a high-quality synthetic. Made from a durable blend of 40% PU, 30% Viscose and 30% Polyester, this leathercloth is soft, smooth, and wonderfully pliable, making it ideal for a wide variety of sewing and crafting projects.

At 330gsm with a knitted backing, this fabric provides reliable strength while maintaining a supple drape, ensuring it handles beautifully whether you're making clothing, accessories or soft furnishings. The wipe-clean surface makes it extremely practical for everyday items, children’s projects, pet accessories, bags and home décor.

How To Use & Hints and Tips

• Use a non-stick or Teflon foot for smooth stitching

• A microtex or leather needle (90/14) is ideal

• Clip seams instead of pinning to avoid marks

• Perfect for structured bags, wallets, purses and applique details

• Clean gently with a damp cloth—do not machine wash

• Pair with cottons, canvas or foam stabilisers for bag-making projects

• Test stitch on a scrap before starting your final project

Please note that if more than one piece of fabric is ordered it will come as one continuous piece as it is cut from the roll, however the rolls do have a maximum length therefore larger orders may be sent in multiple pieces.
